grad.jpg (23639 bytes)Wow...there's a TON of cancer research websites out there. I hardly know where to begin! If you're looking for solid cancer information, you may want to check out some of the places listed below. I will be adding to this list in the very near future. If you know of any good pages to add here, please let me know! I have checked out these websites to make sure that I'm only presenting factual information from reputable sources. I get enough spam about herbalist, spiritual and "alternative remedies", but I choose not pay attention to them and you won't find anything about them here. (Please don't send me any information about them, either.) Don't get me wrong, I'm all for prayer and personal beliefs....It just happens that I personally believe that the traditional course of chemo that Bethany is on will cure her. OH...by the way...Bethany will be graduating from kindergarten on June 3rd. WAY TO GO!!!!!

Now, on to the scientific stuff....

Dr. Koop's is a great place start...basic information without a lot of medical jargon. He's got a ton of information, and not just about cancer. He also has message boards and chats available.

CanSearch is a pretty comprehensive online library of cancer information. A good place to start if you're looking for something specific. Also a good place to look for hard-to-find information.

OncoLink is definitely one of the best oncology directories on the 'net. They provide links to all kinds of stuff: research, organizations, clinical trials, protocals, etc. You name it, they've got it! But be prepared for some heavy reading...

CivilActive...not typical cancer research. Our doctors (and I'm sure your's, too) swear that they do not know what causes leukemia. Hmmm....cancer rates are WAY above normal in Louisiana. So's petroleum production and related pollution (over 80% of which happens to be know carcenogens in our area). Kinda makes me wonder. Check these guys out to see who's dumping toxic slime in your neighborhood. They provide a ZIP code search and a detailed list and maps.
